Terms of Service

Last updated October 30, 2026

Use Control with TVs you own or are allowed to control. It’s provided as is, and it isn’t made or endorsed by any TV maker.

Agreement

By using Control, you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs apps from the App Store. If these terms conflict with Apple’s agreement, Apple’s agreement controls.

License

You may use Control on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal use. You may not resell the app or use it to access devices or networks without permission.

Your TVs and Network

Use Control only with TVs, streaming devices, and Home Assistant servers that you own or have permission to control. Some features depend on settings on your TV, such as network control, network standby, or IP control, which you’re responsible for turning on and off.

Third-Party Products

Control works with products from other companies, using the control methods those products provide on your network. Manufacturers can change or remove these methods at any time, which may stop some features from working. Control isn’t responsible for third-party products, apps, or content.

Trademarks

Samsung, LG, webOS, Sony, Bravia, Google TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Roku, Vizio, SmartCast, Philips, Panasonic, Viera, Home Assistant, YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Plex, Spotify, and other names are trademarks of their respective owners. Control isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them. Names are used only to identify compatible products.

No Warranty

Control is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer doesn’t warrant that Control will work with every TV or be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or use, arising from your use of Control. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The current version, with its date, is always available in Settings. Continuing to use Control after a change means you accept the updated terms.
