Frequently asked questions
How do I shoot RAW?
Tap the Format key on the camera, or open Settings and choose a format. RAW saves the sensor’s data as a DNG, RAW + HEIF saves a DNG with a finished photo, and HEIF saves the finished photo alone. In Photos, a RAW + HEIF photo appears as one item.
Why do my photos have a watermark?
Every feature in Sensor is free, and free photos carry a small Sensor watermark with the iPhone model and exposure. Sensor Pro, a one-time purchase, removes it from photos you take afterward. Tap the watermark in the viewfinder to see it.
How do I restore Sensor Pro?
Tap the watermark in the viewfinder, then tap Restore Purchase. Sensor Pro follows your Apple Account and is shared with your Family Sharing group.
How do I open Sensor from the Lock Screen or Camera Control?
For Camera Control, go to Settings › Camera › Camera Control and choose Sensor. For the Action Button, go to Settings › Action Button, choose Controls, then Sensor. You can also add Sensor to Control Center or the Lock Screen. Settings in Sensor lists each step.
How do I use the Apple Watch shutter?
Open Sensor on your iPhone, then open Sensor on your Apple Watch and tap the shutter. The photo is taken on your iPhone.
How do I change the body’s color?
In Sensor, open Settings and choose a Body Finish. Automatic uses one finish in Light Mode and another in Dark Mode, which you can pick. The app icon has the same colors under App Icon.
Can I use Sensor left-handed?
Yes. In Settings, set Shooting Hand to Left and the body flips, with the shutter under your left hand.
Why can’t Sensor see my photo library?
Sensor only asks to add photos, so it can save what you take but can’t see the rest of your library. Its viewer shows your recent Sensor photos.
Does Sensor collect any data?
No. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and Sensor doesn’t connect to the internet. The Privacy Policy has the details.
